Zhubanov University, in partnership with Heriot-Watt University (UK), invites applications for academic position in Computer Engineering.
This is a unique opportunity to join an international academic partnership and contribute to the delivery of UK higher education programmes in Kazakhstan.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, laboratories, and workshops in English
- Assess and support undergraduate students
- Supervise student projects
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic quality assurance
- Collaborate with colleagues from Zhubanov University and Heriot-Watt University
- Participate in research and international academic initiatives
Requirements
Essential
- PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related discipline
- Teaching or industry experience in a relevant field
- Strong programming skills (e.g. Python, Java, C/C++, OCaml)
- Ability to teach in English
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Desirable
- Experience in higher education teaching
- Experience with Canvas or other virtual learning environments
- Research publications and research experience
- Experience supervising student projects
- International academic or industry experience
